A fortes Design means “a strong design” and that is the kind of clothing Janessa Bautista strives to create. Utilizing sustainable fabrics and local products and services when possible, she makes clothes that hold up and get better with wear. Working from her Portland studio, Janessa fashions looks inspired by her home town, bicycle rides, people, and nature. You will most likely notice these influences incorporated in her design and print work through her use of earth toned hues, burst of butterflies flying from pockets, feather printed hems and the timeless simplicity and beauty of each garment. Janessa hopes that you find her garments can stand up to whatever the day unfolds.
